Max Wood is often described as one of the most versatile drummers in the Seattle area, and you may have heard him with notable artists such as Johnaye Kendrick, Casey MacGill, Nearly Dan, Sumi Tonooka, The Sam Boshnack Quintet, Kareem Kandi, Jennifer Kienzle, and Hotels, whose album "Night Showers" was named one of 2016's top ten by Seattle Met Magazine. 

When leading his own groups in the jazz realm, audiences will hear the influence of such artists as Brad Mehldau, Thelonious Monk, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Brian Blade, Medeski, Martin & Wood, and Miles Davis, just to name a few.
